The Army's MWR group (responsible for Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation Programs), recently invited me to keynote a marketing conference with the topic "Marketing Innovation."
Debbie Curtis suggested me, Don Varney and Fran Stephenson to speak to this group - along with other brilliant folks. I was proud to be included. Discussions with Debbie and Don got me thinking about how much marketing has changed on "my watch."
So I took the opportunity to walk through my own journey from the early 1980s through big waves of marketing innovation like:
- Mainframe computers to personal computers
- Desktop publishing
- The World Wide Web
- Social Media
- Mobile
And it continues. These folks weren't newbies -- they've been on much of that journey as well. Here's the presentation.
